Prague Metro

The Prague metro is amongst the deepest in Europe. Three lines exist, each with its own distinct architecture and design. The first line was opened in the mid-70’s while the newest arrived in 1985. There are 57 stations and approximately one and a half million passengers daily.

The deepest station is Námestí Míru, situated 52 below ground. Oddly, we had to traipse up a hill to catch an escalator down to the platform. This took about two and a half minutes!

Enjoy!
